Hi, I'm Petra!
… and I’m a tree-loving, dog-friendly, nature-loving, heart-led celebrant so I’m passionate about quirky, outdoor ceremonies enriched with rituals and symbolism!
As a fun and friendly celebrant, an adoptive Mum and poet, I love connecting with families and couples (and their pets!) to help them embrace the storms and the sunshine of life, by creating personal, poetic and poignant ceremonies with the focus on hope, happiness and healing.
I’m based in Northwich, Cheshire and I love to get out and about so I conduct celebrant-led ceremonies in Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside (where I’m from!), Lancashire and Staffordshire, so please get in touch and let’s get creative together!
I am a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants (AOIC) and I am covered by their public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Heart-Led Celebrancy
In all of life and in every ceremony the bond of love is all encompassing, with the love of a new-born baby, the love of a life partner and the lasting love in our hearts when a loved one dies.
My training with Veronika Robinson of Heart-Led Ceremonies has led me to realise that being a heart-led celebrant is a service that can bring HOPE, HAPPINESS and HEALING for others.
As your heart-led celebrant in Cheshire, my aim is to open your mind to the endless creative possibilities of beginning, bonding and bereavement ceremonies that reflect your beliefs and values.

Petra was a fantastic celebrant. We found Petra’s profile online quite late in our celebration process. We contacted her and she responded promptly and arranged a video call. From our first conversation we could see she was organised, diligent and, most importantly, personable. Petra’s warm nature and her willingness to get involved (we did some sing-a-longs and had some surprises…) it was an amazing ceremony and one we will never forget. Many of our guests commented on the wonderful story Petra had put together about us for the ceremony and asked how long we had known her for. We really appreciated all the hard work she put in for us in a short period of time and would whole-heartedly recommend Petra to any of our friends or family.
Petra was the celebrant for our daughter's naming day and we can’t imagine anyone doing a better job. She came to our house to learn about all about our family and our daughter's personality, likes and hobbies, before weaving it in to a brilliantly cohesive ceremony based around her favourite film. We had singing, dancing, poems and stories. It was brilliant and everyone loved it, especially the children. Petra is a fun, kind and thoughtful individual and we couldn’t recommend her more.
