Do you both enjoy doing things just that bit differently to everyone else? Choosing me as your dog-friendly, independent celebrant, to design, create and officiate your wedding or civil ceremony, I will really get to know you both (and your pooch) and, having a celebrant-led ceremony, will give you the secure knowledge that you now have the flexibility and freedom to have your ceremony WHENEVER, WHEREVER and HOWEVER you desire! How fabulous is that feeling?

Imagine the feelings of joy, when you surprise your family and friends, with such a wonderful, personal and unique Wedding or Civil Ceremony, that celebrates the commitment of your love for each other, together with family and friends (and pooch or pup), but with the legal formality taking place separately.

I love Elopement Wedding Ceremonies too. They are so intimate and magical…so if you feel that this is the best option for you two, then there are some fabulous locations for elopement ceremonies in the North West!

So, before we get to all the fun stuff…please take a little moment to read this next bit, so you feel confident about making the right decision to CHOOSE to have a CELEBRANT-LED CEREMONY…

The important legal side of your marriage has to take place separately. It involves having a Statutory Ceremony, for the legal declarations and signing of the marriage schedule, with a Registrar at a Register Office – just you two and a minimum of two guests as witnesses – and it takes about 20 minutes, including the Pre-Ceremony Interviews. For a Simple Ceremony the total cost should be £57 (Ceremony plus 1 copy of Wedding Certificate) or you can have an Enhanced Ceremony with readings and promises but please check with your local Register Offices for prices. Think of it, as being similar to if you were getting married abroad and, knowing that you have already made the standard legal declarations and registered your marriage, then you will feel so much more RELAXED for your actual CELEBRANT-LED WEDDING CEREMONY!

**More choice – If you are booking a licensed venue, you can also check with the Register Office to see if they would accommodate having the legal marriage registration on the same day, before or after your Celebrant-led Wedding Ceremony.

Wherever you desire

With no limits to your choice of wedding venue, including licensed venues, you can have a beautiful ceremony, with a celebrant, in any location you choose. Perhaps a forest or woodland venue, on a boat, on a clifftop, on a beach, in a barn, up a mountain, in your favourite pub, or even in your own home or garden!

Whenever you wish

As your celebrant, I only book one ceremony per day, so I will be dedicated to you for the whole day. So your ceremony can be any day of the week and it can be at any time of the day, depending on if your early birds or night owls… at sunrise, sunset, midday or midnight!

However you fancy

Your ceremony will be completely UNIQUE and PERSONAL to you as a couple. You can write your own wedding vows and have whatever spiritual or religious symbolism you want. What fun to have a quirky theme or fancy dress, and include your favourite people and pets, (especially dogs) in the actual ceremony!

Getting to know you…

When you choose me as your celebrant we will have lots of fun, as I will take time to get to know you and we can get creative together. I want you to feel as relaxed as possible and this will come from knowing that your ceremony is written with you, to reflect your vision and values and your ideas and wishes.

My favourite part is writing your LOVE STORY! Sharing your story with me will help us feel more connected.

I will also help you find and choose the MUSIC, POEMS, READINGS, RITUALS and SYMBOLISM, that you feel are right for you two, and that will enhance and illuminate your unique ceremony.

Your WEDDING VOWS, the words of love and commitment spoken on your Wedding Day, should be personal and poetic and make you feel truly loved and cherished! So I can help you write those unique vows, that speak from your heart…created by you, for you and with you.

I will also send you both a QUESTIONNAIRE to be completed independently about yourselves, each other and your relationship. Couples find this a fun and re-affirming experience and it really helps me find out more and often gives me some golden nugget quotes for your Love Story!

Ultimately you will have a wedding ceremony that is a true celebration of your love, in the presence of your family and friends, and will make you feel like you’re on top of the world!

The Process

Being your celebrant doesn’t just involve conducting your ceremony on the day – with weddings, half the fun is in the planning! Here’s a breakdown of how it all works:

Getting to know you

First we will meet so I can get to know you, share lots of ideas and learn all about your Love Story. I will also do a recce of the venue with you, as I like to get a feel for the place where the ceremony will take place and it really helps to inspire me.

Creating and writing your ceremony

Next I will write your bespoke ceremony script, within a couple of months, to include your music, reading and ritual choices. The final script will be delivered to you at least 1 month before your wedding day to be checked and signed off.

Preparing for the ceremony

I like to have a rehearsal of the ceremony if possible, usually the day before, so that everyone knows what they’re doing and when. This helps to relieve any stress and ensures that everything will run smoothly on the day.

The Big Day!

I'll arrive at least an hour early and will conduct your perfect ceremony, just as we planned. I also provide my own high-quality amplifier so I can be clearly heard by all your guests. And remember, I am dedicated to you for the whole day!

After our chat if you would like to book me for your ceremony I will just please require 50% of the fee as a deposit to secure the date and for me to start work creating your ceremony. The balance is due by BACS one month before the wedding day.

I also love to include other symbolic enhancements, rituals and customs, which can be interspersed throughout the ceremony as appropriate. This could be a handtying, jumping the broom, sharing a loving cup, log sawing, ancient love charm or any other ideas you have! There are a great many forms of ceremony enhancements for weddings, which I’d be happy to share with you.
